Most of the companies supply industrial gases and gas mixtures in cylinders or monoblocks (the same cylinders connected to one fitting). Today this equipment is already outmoded and has many disadvantages. The mass of cylinder is 70kg, and the mass of mixture in it – to 12kg. Because of the small capacity of the cylinders, it is often necessary to disconnect, connect cylinders, and use lifting devises.
There are also high risks regarding the quality of mixture, because there is a high probability of air and condensate intrusion from the outside environment. In the cylinder there are always moisture and metal oxides, and because of this, after cutting the sheet metal so-called “nodules” appear that requires further processing. It must be separately noted that there are cases of spontaneous combustion of cylinders and monoblocks with oxygen. Explosions can happen.
Since 2005, our company offers a new approach to gas supply. This is – cryocylinders (small volume gasifiers). Cryocylinder – is cryogenic tank, esthetically made of stainless steel and filled with liquid oxygen (O2), nitrogen (N2), argon (Ar) and carbon dioxide (CO2). Using built-in equipment liquid gas is converted into a gaseous state at the given operating pressure.
Capacity of oxygen in one cryocylinder is similar to the number of 25 150-У40 cylinder. Cryocylinder does not require loading-unloading. It is located in a shipping container and maintenance workerscan easily move it on a horizontal surface unlike regular gas cylinders posts, and at the same time, it allows to create up to five workplaces. Distributor car fills cryocylinders at their location.
Cryocylinder does not require foundations, pipelines, project, and registration. The main advantage – reducing labor intensity for operation up to 20 times, and reducing gas cost up to 1,5-2 times. The evidence from practice shows that using cryocylinders practically eliminates “nodules” when cutting metal sheets, the quality of mixture is much better.
Cryocylinders are safe in service, as they are equipped with reducing device, bursting disk, maximum working pressure 13,7 – 28 bar (depending on the model).
